The kingdom shares with Nepal the world’s greatest concentration of mountains and living heritage of Buddhism. It is one of the few countries in the world still untouched, a paradise for tourists interested in Buddhist culture and philosophy, flora and fauna, trekking and mountaineering. STPL offers you 4-days and 8-days tour package to Bhutan. In the 4-days tour, you will primarily travek to Thimpu. You wil visit Ta Dzong, Drugyel Dzong, Tashichho Dzong and Simthoka Dzong. In the 8-days tour, in addition to places mentioned above, you will also trek to the Taktsang Monastery, visit Punakha Dzong, and the Wangdi Podrang Dzong.

 

Brief Itenerary

Day 01 : Arriving Paro is by flight will give you fascination experience and views of the untouched peaks and

natural landscapes. After arrival and visa formalities you will be received with the greeting by our

Representative and proceed accordingly as per time available for sightseeing and wish to Relax.

Overnight : Kichu Resort or similar.

 

Day 02 : Paro Sightseeing – visit the ruined fortress of Drugyel dzong which still attracts visitors due to the

strategic location of the fort. The fort defended the Paro valley from the  Tibetan invasion from the north in the

early 17th century. On clear weather Mount Chomolhari 7320 meters can be seen towering over the dzong.

Proceed through the beautiful valley to the watch tower or locally known as Ta-Dzong. It was housed into the

National museum in the 1960s by the third King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck but now it is under renovation so

museum is housed nearby in a temporary place. The seven floors Tag Dzong highlights various aspects of

Bhutanese culture and history dating back to the 7th century. A short walk downhill to the Rinpung Dzong

which serves as the administrative center and school for monks.Further walk down through Traditional bridge

(old Cantilever Bridge) to meet the vehicle.

Late after noon drive 1 & 1/2 hours to Thimphu (54 Kms) which is the capital of Bhutan. On the way you will go

through Tamchugang monastry, Holly water site and chunzon (confluence of Wang chhu and Pa chhu) two

river flowing through paro and Thimphu valley.

Overnight at Peaceful Resort or similar.

 

Day 03:  AM Thimphu sightseeing – visit the Memorial chorten built in the memory of the late King Jigme Dorji

Wangchuck, visit to Kuenselphordang (largest statue of sitting Buddha is the region). Go for a 30 min walk

along the park near Buddha statue where you will see thousands of prayer flag with the beauty of different

colors and fascinating panoramic view of Thimphu City and drive to Mothithang Mini zoo where you can see

rare animal

PM drive back to Paro via visiting the first dzong built in Bhutan the Simtokha Dzong. It is now housed the

Buddhist university.

Arrive Paro. Evening at leisure.

Overnight at Kichu Resort or similar.

 

Day 04 : Transfer to airport for departure.
